Celebrating the Husky Impact
#OurSCSU is a symbol of the strength of our community, and there is no better example of that strength than St. Cloud State alumni. Our annual alumni recognition awards look to highlight the Huskies who are bold thinkers, influencers, change makers and leaders in the region, around the country and the globe.
Nominations are accepted year-round. We welcome St. Cloud State alumni, faculty, staff, administration, and emeriti as well as community members to submit a nomination.
Meet the 2025 Honorees
Dr. Rene Martin ’14, ’17
Dr. Rene Martin is a pioneer in the field of evolutionary biology, and her groundbreaking research on multiple species of deep-sea fish is illuminating the hidden corners of Earth's oceans.
One of her nominators shared, "If a strong predictor of future success is past success, then I think it is clear that Rene will continue to make fascinating discoveries that change our view of the natural world."
Dr. William Collis-Prather ’94, ’23
As director and assistant professor of SCSU's applied clinical research graduate program, Dr. Williams Collis-Prather has played an integral role in developing one of the University’s most innovative programs.
One of his nominators shared they are "confident that Dr. Collis-Prather’s exceptional contributions to St. Cloud State University and the broader academic and clinical research communities will continue to make a lasting impact for many years to come."
Jason Meszaros ’17
As an author, U.S. Army veteran and leader in business, infrastructure and cybersecurity, Jason Meszaros has dedicated his life to service, education and leadership.
One of his nominators shared, "His unique story, his constant appetite for lifelong learning, his ability to pivot and his passion to improve the lives of others positions Jason to continue to play impactful roles that aim to benefit his communities."
Dr. Margaret Ann Hennen ’68, ’76
Dr. Margaret Ann Hennen’s career in communications has spanned more than four decades across the corporate, nonprofit and public sectors, and her work in public relations has been recognized at the highest levels.
One of her nominators shared, "Her career speaks for itself, but Margaret Ann is much more than her professional skills. She is a remarkable role model and mentor. She leads with her head and her heart, and she is smart and authentic."
