Recognizing Outstanding Huskies
St. Cloud State University granted its first award in 1963, establishing a long tradition of honoring our distinguished and committed alumni and friends — those who embody the spirit of St. Cloud State, have shaped the world and have strengthened our global community.
We are proud to recognize and honor exceptional graduates and supporters at several events during Homecoming. The awards spotlight outstanding alumni, friends and employees who demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and character.
Award Categories
How to Nominate
St. Cloud State alumni, faculty, staff, administration, and emeriti are invited to offer nominations. Nominations are accepted year-round.
2026 recognition award deadline: May 5, 2026.
Supporting documentation needs to be emailed to alumni@stcloudstate.edu with “Supporting documentation for [nominee’s name]” in the subject line. Supporting documentation includes:
- Letters of recommendation
- Resume/curriculum vitae
- Biography and news articles

Additional Awards
In addition to the awards listed above, the Visionary Award is presented each year to a supporter of St. Cloud State who has made a significant philanthropic impact. While nominations are not open for the award, you can view a list of previous Visionary Award recipients.
